Crumbed Fried Chicken

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups plain flour

  • 1 cup self-rising flour

  • 0.5 tablespoon oregano

  • 0.5 tablespoon thyme

  • 1 tablespoon brown ginger

  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon mustard powder

  • 1 tablespoon celery salt

  • 1 tablespoon black pepper

  • 0.5 tablespoon sea salt

  • 2 tablespoons white pepper

  • 4 tablespoons paprika

  • 1 kilogram chicken

Preparation

  1. Add the plain flour and self-rising flour to the herbs and spices.

  2. Season the chicken in a mix when at room temperature.

  3. Egg wash your chicken using egg white, milk, salt and pepper. Then re-season in the mix.

  4. Fry the chicken for five to six minutes.

  5. Then place it in a pre-heated oven.

  6. Thereafter, give it a final 90-second fry prior to serving.

  7. Add more salt and pepper to mixture, to taste.
