Jeera (cumin) Chicken Soup

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 kilogram chicken

  • oil

  • 3 onions

  • 5 tomatoes

  • 4 potatoes

  • 2 tablespoon jeera powder

  • 2 tablespoon chilli powder

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon ginger and garlic

  • curry leaves

  • coriander

Preparation

  1. Fry onions in oil.

  2. Add tomatoes, curry leaves, chilli powder, jeera powder, salt, ginger and garlic. Allow to braise.

  3. Add chicken, potatoes and a little water. Allow to cook for a few minutes.

  4. Add more water and cook until chicken and potatoes are done.

  5. Regulate salt and heat accordingly.

  6. Add coriander and simmer for 5 minutes.
