About the Recipe

Ingredients
500 grams ground lamb
0.25 cup finely chopped onion
0.25 cup finely chopped fresh coriander
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
0.5 teaspoon salt
0.25 teaspoon black pepper
0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more to taste)
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 hamburger buns
lettuce, tomato, red onion, and tzatziki sauce (optional)
Preparation
Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
In a large bowl, combine lamb, onion, coriander, garlic, ginger, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each into a ball. Flatten each ball into a patty.
Brush the patties with olive oil and grill for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Serve on hamburger buns with your choice of toppings.
Note: You can adjust the level of heat in the burgers by adding more or less cayenne pepper.
