Ingredients
500 grams dhal
3 onions
3 red chillies
3 green chillies
0.5 tablespoon salt
30 grams fresh coriander
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 tablespoon sugar
Preparation
Soak dhal overnight.
Rinse dhal and drain water.
Add chillies and grind until it forms a paste.
Pulse the onions and squeeze excess water.
Rinse coriander and cut into small pieces.
Add the onions, salt, coriander, cumin seeds, fennels seeds and sugar to dhal mixture.
Make into small balls and pat flat.
Place into hot oil and fry until golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
